About
600 Likes vs. 15 Likes is an exploitable template based on a drawing that depicts a woman taking a selfie in front of a poop emoji and receiving 600 likes vs. a woman holding the artwork that she created and gaining only 15 likes. The picture was used in numerous Yuri Gatekeeping edits and exploitable edits.
Origin
The picture was drawn by Instagram[1] artist gigis_lab. The picture was posted to her Instagram on June 20th, 2019, gaining over 74,000 likes, though iterations of the image appeared earlier and it is unclear when the original image was posted (shown below).
Spread
The image began spreading as an exploitable in subreddits focused on ironic enjoyment of faux-deep humor, such as /r/im14andthisisdeep and /r/notlikeothergirls. For example, on June 17th, 2019, a Bad Sasuke edit appeared on /r/notlikeothergirls[3] (shown below, left). On October 2nd, 2019, Redditor Bananasfeel[2] posted an exploitable edit to /r/me_irl, gaining over 7,200 points (shown below, left).
The image also became the subject of several Yuri Gatekeeping edits. User @DestinyToMoon[4] posted Yuri Gatekeeping art on December 18th, 2019, gaining over 31,000 retweets and 138,000 likes (shown below, left). User @tokimekiwaku[5] also posted art and gained over 5,600 retweets and 26,000 likes (shown below, right).
On February 17th, 2020, Grimes posted the original image, leading people to mock her for seemingly posting it unironically.[6]
