Reminds me when I was 19 my closest friend out of nowhere moved to Montreal to live with his dad and work at their family semi-truck business. He called me then and offered me to move in with him with a job. He said everything he could to get me to come with him.
"We'll get to be roomies", "you'll make a six-figure salary off the bat", "We'll pay for your class 3 license training".
I told him I was not going anywhere until he showed me his plan worked for him. Less than a year later, he was back in Ottawa and had accumulated, as I recall over 500k in debts with his father.
Do not ever move for anyone unless you are married to them
Honestly, strikes me as what marriage was kind of made for. The merging of finances so you act as one entity means that you can't just offload your partner for your collective decisionmaking.
