Ava Kris Tyson Grooming Allegations / Shadman Commission Allegations
This entry contains content that may be considered sensitive to some viewers.
Overview
Ava Kris Tyson Grooming Allegations and Shadman Commission Allegations refer to accusations that MrBeast associate Ava Kris Tyson groomed a minor who goes by LavaGS online, with evidence suggesting that Tyson messaged Lava numerous times when he was 14 years old and Tyson was in her 20s and met up with him when he was still underage. Tyson made Lava the moderator of her Discord server when LavaGS was still a minor. These allegations also brought increased attention to previous accusations that Tyson commissioned loli art from controversial artist Shadman around 2017. The allegations were shared by YouTuber Prism42 in June 2024 and went viral that July, resulting in calls for Tyson to be removed from the MrBeast team. In July 2024, LavaGS responded to the accusations, claiming the videos alleging grooming were false and that he was never groomed by Tyson, stating that much of what Prism42 used as evidence was just "edgy jokes." He also refuted the claim that he met Tyson alone, claiming he met the whole MrBeast crew with his parents present. As more information came forward, including allegations from a second person claiming to have had contact with Tyson while 14, Tyson announced her departure from the channel and social media and MrBeast released a statement claiming to have hired a third party to investigate the situation independently.
Background
Shadman Artwork Commission Allegations
As early as 2017, Ava Kris Tyson, who, at the time, went by Chris Tyson and used he/him pronouns as she had yet to transition, purportedly followed and was a fan of Shadman, a controversial lolicon artist. Tyson purportedly commented on numerous Shadman posts, including comics depicting child abuse and sexual situations.
On April 15th, 2023, Reduxx[1] posted an article sharing evidence of this, including a screenshot of Tyson sharing a piece of Shadman's loli art (which was archived by the Wayback Machine)[2] that she purportedly commissioned from the artist (shown below). Separately, Tyson purportedly posted a comment under a now-deleted Shadman post reading, "That bitch look good for a 4 year old." This is a reference to a satirical Filthy Frank song "Nickelodeon Girls."
As further evidence of Tyson's alleged appreciation of Shadman, Tyson purportedly posted, on November 18th, 2017, that she "owns a Shadbase drawing," referring to the above-commissioned artwork, writing that she has it as "a centerpiece" in her living room (shown below).
The art is visible in a YouTube[3] video on the MrBeast channel titled "Tipping Pizza Delivery Guys $10,000," which was uploaded in August of that year (screenshot shown below).
This evidence, along with other evidence, including numerous comments purportedly left by Tyson on Shadman's comments, was covered in a video by YouTuber[4] Prism42, which was posted on June 15th, 2024, garnering around 730 views in a month (shown below).
Grooming Allegations
On June 13th, 2024, YouTuber[5] Prism42 posted a roughly 40-minute long video titled "Chris Tyson Talked Inappropriately to a 13-Year-Old" in which they share allegations regarding Ava Kris Tyson purportedly messaging a minor when he was only 13 years old (shown below).
Purportedly, the victim, who is referred to as BW or "Lava" in the video, was 13 and Tyson was 20. According to the video, BW briefly appeared in the 2020 MrBeast Minecraft video titled, "I Made 100 Players Escape an Impossible Maze."[6] LavaGS was made a moderator of Tyson's server around this time. First, Prism42 points to a comment in which Tyson calls Lava "dad" in a comment, calling it "weird."
Prism then shares screenshots of further comments between Tyson and Lava, including one in which Lava mentions Tyson's "hentai addiction" (shown below). Prism wonders what this comment refers to and why Lava would know about this purported addiction and later shares further comments in which Lava references Tyson's enjoyment of hentai.
In another incident, Tyson made a post announcing that she almost hit her donation goal on Patreon, writing, "Guys we are so close to our goal oh meh god! One more patreon and I'm releasing my nudes" (shown below, top left). Prism admits this could have been written as a joke, but calls the later interaction with Lava under the post inappropriate. First, Lava comments under the post and calls Tyson "big boy" (shown below, top right).
Lava then claims to have donated and Tyson asks for more, replying to the comment with a "kiss face" Emoji (shown below, bottom left). Lava purportedly makes a larger donation and Tyson claims she dropped some "fire nudes" for him (shown below, bottom right). Prism42 criticizes Tyson for the way she's talking with the purported 14-year-old.
Prism42 then shares several more screenshots of X comments and Discord chatlogs between Lava and Tyson from around the same time, including a post in which Tyson calls Lava her friend and drives people to his Twitch stream.
Prism42 reiterates that while he isn't sure whether or not Tyson and Lava actually did anything inappropriate while underage before discussing how Tyson and Lava eventually met up IRL. He also claims he interviewed Lava, who claimed he did not do anything inappropriate with Tyson. Prism42 shares screenshots from a Discord server where Lava claims he's in a camper van meeting with Karl Jacobs and Tyson. Prism suggests it was Lava's camper van. The members of the Discord chat begin "simping" for Karl. Prism42 shares screenshots of Tyson and Lava's purported Steam accounts, showing evidence of them gaming together.
He then shares a screenshot of Lava sharing a Snapchat sent to him by Tyson that reads "cumming for America," with Lava calling the Snap "weird" (shown below, left). Prism42 claims Lava would have been around 15 at the time this was sent. Prism shares a screenshot Lava sent to the Discord server showing that he was on a call with Tyson. He then shared several photographs of Tyson and Jacobs standing with Lava, which were posted to Instagram (shown below, right, Lava's face censored).
Prism42 shares suspicions over why exactly Tyson met up with Lava in a camper van "in the middle of nowhere." He then shares evidence that points towards Lava being underage at the time of these posts.
Developments
Both the Shadman allegations and the grooming allegations against Tyson started going viral in July 2024 as further commentary channels picked up on it. Notably, YouTuber[7] Adrox posted a video on July 16th, 2024, covering the allegations that gained over 800,000 views in a week (shown below, left). On July 19th, YouTuber[8] Breone posted a video about the allegations that gained over 300,000 views in three days (shown below, right).
On July 22nd, X[9] user @KEEMSTAR reported that Tyson deleted their entire X posting history, although it is unclear exactly when she did this. The post gained over 8,000 likes in under a day.
Lava's Response / Denial Of Grooming Allegations
On July 22nd, 2024, Lava responded to the allegations on X, denying them outright. That day, he made a post to X[13] garnering over 4,000 likes in under a day reading:
These videos are massive lies and twisting the truth. Ava never did anything wrong and just made a few edgy jokes. I was never exploited or taken advantage of. Can you do me a favor and comment on these videos and tell them to stop spreading lies. This situation takes away from children who are actively being exploited everyday online. I am not a victim of anything being claimed in these videos or at all.
Later that day he then quote-reposted another post to X[14] about the situation, writing, "Kris did nothing wrong. What’s actually disgusting is you guys twisting things and making me a victim" (shown below, left and right).
Later on July 22nd, 2024, X[15] user @KEEMSTAR made a post alleging that he talked with Lava and was connected directly by MrBeast. He shares quotes from Lava, in which Lava claims he met the whole MrBeast crew with his parents present, not alone and that he "ran a discord with Kris Tyson when I was 13 and edgy inappropriate jokes were said that’s it" (shown below).
Second Alleged Victim Comes Forward
On the night of July 22nd, 2024, X user @LilNoNameFR posted and deleted a series of videos, archived by archive.ph,[16] in which he scrolls through Snapchat DMs allegedly between himself and Tyson. He also included videos of Tyson talking and making inappropriate jokes with minors in a Discord voice chatroom. In the post, he claims to have been 14 at the time and that Tyson was 22. The videos were reposted by X[17] user @GuntNews later that day (shown below).
The user also shared videos from a Discord voice chat where Chris Tyson is speaking very explicit terms to a group of people, including at least 1 minor. pic.twitter.com/XYQyNQ6Hov

Ava Kris Tyson's Response
On the afternoon of July 23rd, 2024, Ava Kris Tyson posted a statement on X[18] announcing that she would be permanently stepping away from the MrBeast team and social media as a whole to focus on "family and mental health" (shown below). The post gained over 4,800 likes in under an hour.
She also denied the accusations of grooming and apologized, calling the past behavior "edgy jokes."
Backlash Towards MrBeast (Bhad Bhabie Comment, Selling Black People Clip)
As the allegations surrounding Tyson garnered more attention, MrBeast started to experience some backlash and criticism, as many presumed he must have known about Tyson's allegations beforehand and refused to take action against them. Soon, people began digging up old videos of MrBeast to use against him.
On July 24th, 2024, X[19] user @6sznx posted a short clip from episode 26 of the Hot Wet Soup podcast, hosted by content creators Elvis the Alien, Leon Lush and Bionic Pig TV. In the clip, one of the hosts alleges that content creator Keemstar "likes" the cash me ousside girl and finds her funny. She is now better known now as pop artist Bhad Bhabie.
MrBeast casually asks, "Let's be real, you wouldn't put your d--k in her?" The hosts claim they would not and MrBeast laughs, saying, "I was hoping you'd say yes. Yeah, I wouldn't either. She's way too young." At the time, Bhad Bhabie would have been roughly 14 years old.

The episode was originally posted to YouTube between May 23rd and June 14th, 2017, but has since been deleted. It was archived on the Internet Archive.[20] After the clip was posted by @6sznx it was reposted by numerous X[21] users, including @DramaAlert, garnering over 13,000 likes in under a day.
Some users, including X[22] user @DhruvRaj997, posted another clip from the same podcast where MrBeast says, "Let's say something offensive that people can take out of context," suggesting this was removed context from the clip. However, this is said by MrBeast later in the episode, with Keemstar pointing this out in a post to X[23] that day.
That same day, a clip of MrBeast joking with his chat about slavery and the selling of Black people also circulated on X,[24] with users like @biffdon posting it that day, garnering around 600 likes in under 24 hours (shown below).

MrBeast's Response
On the night of July 24th, 2024, MrBeast posted a statement to X[25] regarding Tyson's departure. In his statement, MrBeast claims he's hired a third party to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. He also writes that he is "disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts." He writes, "I’ve seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions." The post gained over 617,000 likes in a day (shown below).
Online Reactions
The allegations against Tyson went viral in July 2024, inspiring many critical reactions online, including calls for Tyson to respond to the accusations and be removed from the MrBeast team. The allegations also sparked criticism from those already critical of Tyson for transitioning, resulting in some members of the trans community sharing their disappointment in Tyson and reminding others that these allegations arguably do not have any relation to her transition.
On July 22nd, 2024, X[10] user @OctaSpla2n posted, "this basically just sent back the trans community 200 years back we are never going to hear the end of it from transphobes," garnering over 90,000 likes in under a day (shown below, left). X[11] user @ShortestNgga posted a meme that same day about transphobes taking advantage of the allegations that gained over 14,000 likes in the same span of time (shown below, right).
On the same day, X[12] user @donutqq_qwq posted an Oh That's Real Nice meme about the situation and how transphobes are going to use the story to hate on the whole community, despite Tyson not representing the community, garnering over 5,000 likes in under a day (shown below).
