About

Fallenchungus is a webcomic artist known for their MS Paint cartoons depicting exaggerated interactions between characters which often pertaining to a current discourse. First achieving major popularity on X / Twitter in November 2023, Fallenchungus cartoons have since spawned Look Man He Helped Me Through a Very Tough Time and Bro Visited His Friend meme formats. In May 2024, Fallenchungus made a video alleging he would attempt to end his own life following accusations that he drove another person to attempt to take their own life. Two weeks later, he then announced that he had just gotten out of a mental hospital and was retiring from creating comics.

Online History

Prior to October 7th, 2023, webcomic artist Fallenchungus (@fallenchungus) posted'^[1][2] a two-panel cartoon in which one character gets shocked when the other one tells him he's going to sexually assault him, with the second character then continuing, "ever heard of DARK HUMOR buddy." The post (shown below) was originally posted on Fallenchungus' unknown alternative account and was later reposted^[3][4] on their main account.

On November 6th, 2023, Fallenchungus posted the earliest cartoon on their main account which received over 870 reposts and 6,700 likes on X^[5] in five months (shown below, left). Later that day, the artist posted their Look Man He Helped Me Through a Very Tough Time cartoon that gained over 2,300 reposts and 19,000 likes on X^[6] in five months and spawned a meme format (shown below, right).

The artist posted multiple comics that saw viral spread in the following months. Notably, on March 28th, 2024, Fallenchungus posted their Bro Visited His Friend (also known as Friendpilled Visitmaxxer) cartoon that gained over 13,000 reposts and 129,000 likes on X^[7] in one month and spawned a meme format (original shown below, left; edit shown below, right).

In early November 2023, Fallenchungus wrote^[8] that they create their cartoons in MS Paint. On April 17th, 2024, Fallenchungus wrote^[9] that they intentionally make their characters "ugly as fuck" in order to offset the way characters are drawn in other "twitter farm" comics.

Chaser Allegations / Alleged Suicide Attempt

In October 2023, some X users began accusing Fallenchungus of being a "chaser," meaning someone who fetishizes transgender people. A compilation image purportedly showing Fallenchungus being a chaser began to spread (shown below, left). On January 22nd, 2024, Fallenchungus made a post to X^[31] addressing the allegations, writing, "this image surfaced like last year after a weird period where a lot of my close trans friends were going thru shit so I tried to be an ally and failed miserably, that's quite literally the end of it. This image was also compiled by a group of transphobic trolls so yeah" (shown below, right).

On April 7th, Fallenchungus had an exchange with @LennoxRoseReal on X^[32] in the comments of a now-deleted, unarchived post in which LennoxRoseReal seemingly perpetuated the chaser rumors further and shared the compilation image, although the exact contents of the deleted post are currently unclear (shown below).

On May 26th, Fallenchungus had an exchange with @LennoxRoseReal on X^[32] under another now-deleted post about drama resulting from the chaser rumors, with @LennoxRoseReal (shown below). In one comment, Lennox claims they're worried that a friend, "dart," might get harassed over something Fallenchungus posted.

That day, user @hightiergoddess responded to a post by @LennoxRoseReal with a screenshot of a DM reading, "the petty side of me wants to leak his address on some site that would get him harassed to all hell but I need like two PCs and three VPNs to for my plan to work (shown below, left).^[15] Purportedly, this DM was written in reference to Fallenchungus.

That same day, X^[16] user @hightiergoddess elaborated on the message in a series of comments under the post, claiming that Fallenchungus convinced her girlfriend to attempt suicide (shown below, right).

Some X users demanded proof to back up @hightiergoddess and @LennoxRoseReal's claims that @Dark_suuun, aka Rikki_alt, attempted suicide because of Fallenchungus. @Hightiergoddess provided several screenshots to X^[19] of messages from X user @rikki_priv claiming that they took a whole bottle of pills, suggesting this is the user that Fallenchungus allegedly pushed to a suicide attempt (shown below). Some X^[20][21] users were skeptical of the posts and claimed they were not good proof.

Later that day on May 26th, X^[17] user @LennoxRoseReal, aka Gelzazz on Discord, posted a screenshot of a DM between themselves and Fallenchungus, aka datsmojo on Discord, as a response to a now-deleted (and unarchived) Fallenchungus post, writing, "youre not sorry at all. you didnt even mention that rikki was attempting sui and gave a vague tweet and blocked me after telling you what not to do." The DM shows datsmojo defending himself against the allegations (shown below, left).

A few hours later, @Fallenchungus made a post to X^[18] sharing a screenshot of the X exchange with @hightiergoddess and @LennoxRoseReal, writing, "whatever im going nuclear same people who preach morality above all want me doxxed and dead for speaking my mind about people's hate boners for me i want these people gone," garnering over 2,400 likes in two days (shown below, left).

Around 40 minutes later, @LennoxRoseReal made a now-deleted post to X,^[22] the exact contents of which are unknown, that purportedly wished death on Fallenchungus. The user later deleted the post and commented, "i said that cuz i had thought someone fully committed suicide cuz of him and i immediately deleted it after they were okay, none of my other tweets were about him u are genuinely a fucking weirdo."

Fallenchungus quote-reposted the X^[23] post later that night, writing, "nothing that you say or do has been in the best interest of anyone. You are a walking, talking point of contention that thrives off of people's misery. You literally wished death upon me over something that wasn't going to happen.You are a miserable, miserable person (shown below).

Additionally, X^[24] user @Baller_gaming1 commented on the post with a now-deleted post from X user @Dark_suuun, the purported alternate account of X user @Rikki_alt, claiming that they took a bottle of pills to attempt suicide because Fallenchungus posted an image to X that included their handle, which resulted in harassment towards them. Fallenchungus responded to the X^[25] comment that night, writing, "this is a boldface fucking lie. And the fact this fucking trogolodyte is trying to put the blame on me for that is sickening" (shown below).

Later that night, Fallenchungus made a post on X^[26] in response to a now-deleted post by @LennoxRoseReal, writing, "im done trying to be nice, walk away, do whatever. There is quite literally over 20 separate occasions of you or your friends spreading false accusations about me and making my days worse."

About seven minutes later, Fallenchungus posted on X,^[27] "alright I give up. anything I was trying to build, it's over. I dont care about the money, the partnership, or even the fans anymore. There's no meds left in the house, my parents hid them, but I'll find another way to do it, I always do" (shown below).

Around 10 minutes later, Fallenchungus posted a video to X^[28] consisting of a black screen. In the video, he claims that he deleted his Discord server and that he is going to attempt to end his own life in the following days and urging people not to reach out to him (shown below).

On May 27th, X^[29] user @GelzazzA, the alt of @LennoxRoseReal, posted a note to X claiming that they were going to commit suicide over the situation (shown below, left). On the morning of May 28th, the same user quote-reposted their X^[30] post through the @LennoxRoseReal account, writing, "my attempt failed. im okay now" (shown below, right).

Exit From Mental Hospital / Possible Retirement Announcement

On June 6th, 2024, FallenChungus made a post to X^[33] after 11 days of silence claiming that he just got out of a mental hospital and that he's "not coming back" to creating webcomics, writing, "It's about time I start my own life." The post gained over 3,400 likes in under an hour (shown below).

Later that same day, FallenChungus made another post to X^[34] claiming the chances he'll come back are "not 0%," writing, "although it'll be way, way later when I feel like I've matured enough to withstand the toxicity that comes with platform management." The post gained over 5,800 likes in around an hour (shown below).

Use in Memes

Fallenchungus' cartoons, most notably Ever Heard of Dark Humor Buddy, Look Man He Helped Me Through a Very Tough Time, and Bro Visited His Friend, have been frequently used as source material for memes, with users editing the cartoons and using them as reaction images (examples shown below).

Reputation

Tired Meme Clown Feud

On April 5th, 2024, X / Twitter meme account Tired Meme Clown (@TiredMemeClown) reposted^[10] Fallenchungus' Bro Visited His Friend cartoon. Later that day, Fallenchungus quoted^[11] the repost, writing, "chat can I file a cease and desist like is that plausible" (shown below, left) On April 6th, Tired Memes Clown falsely claimed^[12] that Fallenchungus was "a fellow member of the racist community," posting a racist cartoon imitating Fallenchungus' style created by an unknown user (post since removed). On April 6th, 2024, Fallenchungus refuted^[13] the allegations, also posting^[14] a cartoon based on a direct message from Tired Meme Clown (shown below, right).
