Why Do Women Only Like Stupid Jerks Who Treat Them Like Shit? refers to a webcomic created by Humon Comics which in the first panel shows a boy looking at an attractive couple asking why women fall for guys who treat them poorly; in the second panel, a girl looking at that boy asks why men fall for "bitchy bimbos who walk all over them"; in the third panel, the man from the attractive couple looks at the girl from the second panel and asks "Why can't I get her attention?" The comic has been turned into an exploitable, often with the third panel altered to a nonsensical shitposting panel.

Origin

The comic, originally named "Only Jerks and Bimbos", was posted by Humon Comics on March 28th, 2012^[1]. It first appeared on Reddit^[2] on April 7th of that year.

Spread

On February 5th, 2018, the comic was reposted to /r/notliketheothergirls,^[3] gaining over 200 points. Over the course of the following year, the comic began seeing humorous edits with shitpost punchlines, particularly with the shidding and farding meme. On June 24th, 2018, an edit appeared on Tumblr page memesforages^[4] (shown below, left). On August 5th, another edit appeared on Imgur^[5] (shown below, right).

Additionally, the comic became a meme on Instagram in voiced parodies of the exploitables. The first was posted November 26th, 2018 by user yaomarso, who posted an ear rape edit that gained over 42,000 views (shown below).

The comic continued to see spread into 2019. On January 29th, 2019, Redditor DaRealWookie posted a Prequel Meme to /r/PrequelMemes,^[6] gaining over 3,200 likes. On February 3rd, a shitposting featuring George W. Bush appeared in /r/PewDiePieSubmissions^[7] (shown below, right).
