The "Will of D." is a mystery surrounding some people who have the initial "D." in their names. Known also as "The D. Name" or "The D. Clan", the D. is present in the names of various characters in the One Piece universe, including its protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, various side characters and antagonists. As characters with the D. in their name are often revealed to be important or dangerous in the story, it's a recurring meme in the One Piece fandom to joke about weaker characters or inanimate objects to carry the Will of D.
