Overview
Pokémon Rodeo Game Freak Leaks, also known as Codename Synapse Leak or Pokémon Codename Rodeo, refers to a notable new leak in the aftermath of the 2024 Game Freak Pokémon Gigaleak in which an alleged online co-op battling Pokémon game is being developed under the codenames: "Codename Rodeo" and "Codename Synapse." The new leak occurred in mid-October 2024, a few days after the first incident, spawning theories and memes related to the speculated new game.
Background
On October 21st, 2024, X[1] page @CentroLeaks shared a thread featuring new Game Freak leaked data about a cancelled spin off_Pokémon_ game, titled "Codename Rodeo." The alleged multiplayer game was reported a few days ago as "codename Synapse" in the first leaked documents, which revolves around 'rideable Pokémons' while you throw Poké Ball on other Pokémons to attack. The tweet (seen below) also revealed a series of other data related to the game, amassing over 1.9 million views and 42,000 likes in a few hours.
@CentroLeaks[2] also shared leaked gameplay showing one of the key goals of Pokémon Rodeo "is to defeat and ride rampaging Pokémon." The video (seen below) shows a female character trying to ride the dragon-type pokémon Garchomp, which amassed more than 313,000 views and 4,600 likes in a few hours.

Online Reactions
Content related to the canceled MMO Pokémon game quickly spread on the internet, inspiring debates, jokes and memes related to the leaks. For example, on October 21st, 2024, X[3] user @Light_88_ posted alleged concept art related to Pokémon Rodeo (seen below), which received roughly 15,000 views and 506 likes in a few hours.
On the same day, YouTuber[4] @BLAINES posted a video commenting on the Pokémon Rodeo leak, amassing more than 18,000 views and 1,000 likes in a few hours.
TikTokers also posted content related to the leaks, as user @imartuba[5] read parts of @CentroLeaks thread with leaked information about Pokémon Rodeo. The video (seen below) amassed roughly 4,000 plays and 403 likes in a few hours.
